The point here is that on quite a few occasions when we were frustrated with what we were seeing in our price-range she let us know that we could/should keep looking and making offers until we landed the right place at the right price. It was helpful to have an agent who truly wanted us to find the right place, and enjoyed the work of the search. There was no pressure to settle for less. We were helped massively by Megan's connections in the industry. Megan recommended our lawyer, inspector, mortgage broker and even painter at the new apartment. We did well with all of her recommendations. Having people she knew meant that she was able to project-manage and keep communication flowing through the lengthy co-op board approval process, and all the way through closing. The other talent that Megan brought to our process is the unquantifiable sense of the deal itself and how to work with people. She had ideas about where the market was going, how much to bid on each apartment, how to keep in communication with the listing agent, and how to keep us informed. These are the kinds of things we couldn't have done right on our own. She even pushed us to get our paperwork submitted when we were dropping behind.
