Originally from New Orleans, Phil Amoss moved to New York as a teenager and, save a few brief breaks living elsewhere, has been here ever since. With over a decade in the business, he's passionate about and experienced in a wide-range of aspects of the real estate business--from corporate relocation to residential sales of condos and co-ops to investment sales of multi-family and mixed-use buildings to development sites--and the ways in which they are all interrelated and interact. He's particularly interested in community-based, sustainable, affordable housing projects that respect and add value to existing communities while creating space for cultural dynamism and expansion--as well as the conversion of houses of worship and other historical structures that have fallen into disuse into revitalized community centers and other uses that serve the surrounding residents. He's lived and/or worked in Crown Heights, Bushwick, Greenpoint, Long Island City, Harlem, the Upper West Side, the Village, and many other parts of the five boroughs. He also does some work Upstate in the Hudson River Valley Area. When he's not working in real estate, he's usually working on music, writing, doing muay thai, or traveling.
